1. Never use a fine sable brush that covers a large area, such as sky or water.

Bristle brush or hard brush, used to cover large areas of the picture.

Sable brushes are only good for fine details.

Never use household alcohol to clean brushes.

Brushes lose their natural oils and become brittle. It is best to use a professional brush cleaner, or a thinner such as turpentine.

Wash the brush thoroughly at the end of each painting.

After cleaning, apply a little vaseline to the bristles and press the bristles back to their original state.

For rounded sable brushes, use a nutrient (such as olive oil).

Brush storage: Place the brush in a jar, head up.

Using only one or two brushes in the painting process forces the painter to constantly clean the brush between colors, causing unnecessary wear and tear.

To avoid frequent cleaning, use several at a time.

Buy expensive brushes that will last longer with simple care.

In the painting process, using multiple brushes will eliminate unnecessary cleaning in the color mixing process.
